Work In Progress Wednesday-11

Holy crow it's really Wednesday again?!?!  Time sure is flying around here!  We have been so busy it's crazy (and we don't have any kids!).  I haven't made any progress on the Quilts for Kids quilt this week (sad!) and I probably won't make much progress on it the next two weeks either since Dylan is working different shifts these next two weeks (he normally works 3pm-11pm so I always have the night to do whatever I want).

I did end up making an adorable wine bag for a good friend of mine for her bridal shower.  And since I was finishing it that morning I totally forgot to take some pictures of it!  Ughhhh!!  But I'll have some pics of it here in the next fews days.  It's not perfect but I think it was pretty darn good for my first try :-)

August and September are going to be superrrrrr crazy too.  I'm going to a Bachelorette Weekend in Atlantic City one weekend, I'm in a wedding the next weekend, attending another wedding the next weekend, and then we have a memorial motorcycle dice run the next weekend.  Holy canoli I'll be lucky if I get anything done!
Oh and to add to my list...I received a bunch of supplies to *attempt* to make some cloth diapers for a friend.  So I have to work on as well.  Oh joy this is going to be interesting :-)

Here's the weekly round up:

Finished:
  • Wine Bag
In Progress:
  • Quilts for Kids Quilt
  • Another Green Bay  Faux Chenille Blanket
  • Cow Fabric Project (half remains!)
  • Test out my new KAM Snap Plier set! (ughhhh how did I NOT do this yet?!?!)
  • Cloth Diapers

Linking up to Work In Progress Wednesday over at Freshly Pieced and Fresh Sewing Day & Small Blog Meet over at Lily's Quilts.

  2. Love the red with the purple, very striking. I see you have cloth diapers on your to do list. I must confess I bought terry nappies (as they are called in the UK). I used them for both my girls and now they are used as mops. :-)

  3. One of my best friends sewed up my cloth diapers for me. It was one of the nicest gifts I've ever received! What kind of a pattern are you using?

Also, this reminds me that I really need to get started on my Quilts for Kids quilt. :)
